The truth is complex, but it may all clear up quickly with Pierce, or more likely with Pierce and a solid draftee. We can't make trades without offering up a big or a point; but now that we have them (Al and Rondo), we can't afford to give them up. Thus, a Hobson's choice. The most likely way out, Occam's razor, is patience. We have most of the talent in place, Gene's theorem, and need patience and another Pierce-like piece. And then there's Murphy's law. Cheers.
