This just isn't right. Why still the hostility and sarcasm especially
when that poster was essentially correct about Wallace and while
our team is doing so well.
As a long time lurker who probably hasn't earned the right to
a voice, I’d still like to say that I used to enjoy this list before
it got so lame with its name-calling and defensive and
confrontational and yes boring posts.
Seems to me all this list is good for now is for posts that
keep repeating that our team is fabulous and that our
every player and coach is off the chart. Have been reading the
same rosy posts now for what seems like forever even when we
won so few games last season..
But a funny thing seems to have happened on our way to success.
Nowhere does there anymore seem room for contributions which
are not starry eyed optomistic. And God help those who
post otherwise. I for one really miss all the give and take by
intelligent posters with varying views who once made this list
what it was.
As an example because I missed her contributions, I emailed the
late Egg a few days ago to see where she was at. She responded
that she has actually removed her name from this list. What a
shame as I recall the very guys who drove her off aren’t nearly
her equal in interesting input. I'm not familiar with who the
mystery man is who owns this list but she also told me that
she requested that he speak to posters about personal attacks
but never heard back from him.
Just my humble opinion but with all the Celtics blogs and
forums out there nowadays it seems to me that the competitiion
for intelligent thought-provoking contributors is keen and that
none of the dozens of Celtics sites can afford to drive away
quality contributors.
