Bye bye big intangible, we hardly knew thee

The funny thing is, Wallace wasn't released because he
couldn't play but because of what his contract would
do to our luxury tax situation. Both Danny and Doc
believe the kid has NBA talent but that he won't help
this year and so it doesn't make sense taking the
luxury tax hit with a non-producing player. They'd
probably take that hit for a player that would produce
this year, but that player's not Wallace. You might
want to hold off on your public pat on the back until
a few years from now (if you can wait).
