Bye bye big intangible, we hardly knew thee

I hate to give myself a public pat on the back here, but a number of
people questioned my credibility for saying Brandon "The big intangible"
Wallace (and yes I came up with that nickname in response) was not an
NBA player based solely on his summer league stats. I was told I "had
to see him play" and he "does all of the little things" (this is one of
my favorite lines from an unnamed poster "I understand your point about
stats, but you'd have more credibility, at least in my eyes, if you'd
actually seen Wallace play once."). However, I stand firm in my belief
that you just don't score 6 points a game or put up marginal stats
across the board in the summer league and make the NBA no matter how
many intangibles you have. Go back and read the e-mails from July 9th
to about July 13th to see the abuse I took for pointing out the obvious.
I guess I now have to question everyone's credibility who watched him
put up pedestrian numbers in the summer league (where the all-stars
included the immortal von wafer and javaris crittenton and an mvp of
Nate robinson) and thought he would contribute. I am all for debate,
but the vitriol I took for my stance on Wallace was unnecessary. On the
bright side, at least Eric Macarthur now has another teammate for the
historic didn't pan out celtic summer league future all-star team along
with Brandon Hunter.

Of course, I'll only give my self a one-handed pat on the back instead
of two handed because I am pretty sure I said the Celtics will never
win anything with Danny Ainge as GM (and if I didn't say it, I meant
to), so as always, what do I know?

Is Al Jefferson an all-star yet (sorry mark berry, it's a joke),
