Mike, ever the careful guy, picks his words: each time he's said this
team is the best defensively, he's added, "of the Celtics teams I've
seen since I started doing the broadcasts."

I think that was 1980 -- he's deliberately leaving out the Russell teams
(which isn't surprising, given his broadcast partner).
