I'll cut out my assumptions when I feel like it. I hope KG
is smart enough not to treat Pierce and Ray Allen like
puppies to be scolded and slapped about the face. But that
style (seen on the video) can get old very quickly even
when you yourself are not on the receiving end of it, which
is why I could see if Ray or Paul may find it a bit
offputting.
Again, in small doses and at appropriate moments it's fine
(e.g., Toine getting in Pierce's face during that ECF game).
But too much of a good thing can be not so good.

Kestas,
You're assuming that KG is giving the Marine treatment
to Paul and Ray. I've seen NOTHING of the sort. All
interactions between the three have been at the height
of respectfulness. If you care to point a specific
incident where KG got Marine on Ray or Paul, I would
be interested in hearing about that. If not, cut out
the assumption that KG is stupid enough to berate
veterans. The only thing I can recall where KG even
remotely tried to motivate Pierce was when he told him
to do some push-ups the next time he got frustrated on
the court and that was something which Pierce
accepted.
BTW, the video link posted a few days ago did not
feature KG slapping Pierce; he playfully slapped Tony
on the side of the face and asked "Where you at?"
which is a perfectly understandable question given
Tony's occasional lapses in concentration.
