SNIP "As for my "'demonizing' being a Marine" (oh no, I'm being accused
of being the lowliest of the lowliest - being "against the troops"!!),
you're missing my point here, which wasn't all that subtle to begin
with. Namely, a Marine-drill-sergeant-type of communication style may be
exactly right for the Marines, but will not work if applied chronically
to multimillionaire NBA stars."
Never said you were demonizing "being" a Marine - rather a Marine's
(specifically a drill sergeant as they're really the only one's using
such tactics day in and day out)communication style (we're actually
saying the same thing). And I didn't accuse anyone of anything low,
high, or in-between. You can love, hate, ignore or whatever soldiers,
sailors, marines or airmen. That's your right.

2. No, it wouldn't serve any purpose. That would be me doing the same
thing that others are doing classifying Garnett's character - it's not
my place.

SNIP "Really? Talking about a player's personality - one of the most
important variables in building a team - is NOT OK on a list whose
purpose is discuss the team for which the said player is playing? Then
what is suitable to discuss? Set some parameters here so that we
studiously avoid inappropriate classification in the future. Kestas"
If the list wants to..fine by me - I never said they couldn't - just
said I wouldn't. I prefer to keep my negative opinions about other
people to myself. Kinda sounds like I'm laissez faire myself doesn't it?
