1. The counterpoint was made to illustrate an extreme; the demonizing of
being a "Marine" or the personality traits thereof (I think the word is
stereotyping) can just as easily be done to the other end of the
spectrum.

2. No, it wouldn't serve any purpose. That would be me doing the same
thing that others are doing classifying Garnett's character - it's not
my place.
