Dear Egg,
Your "extensive research staff" probably needs to use Clusty instead of
Google. Using Garnett cursing as my 2 word search, I found bits going
aback to 2001.
Lots of blog discussion of Allen and Garnett.

Big [omitted f-word] deal. His passion has been on display nightly, and
his on-the-floor coaching of his teammates has been exceptional. I'll
take him with all his (perceived) flaws. He's got a loooong way to go
before he gets to Bird's class as far as harrassing opponents.
Apparently (and unfortunately, to members of my g-g-g-generation), this
behavior is tolerated today. I keep expecting, in a few years, to hear a
mainstream news announcer say: "Here's a nice fucking story to warm your
heart!"
