I liked the E. House signing.  Although injuries could be an issue, he
had some very good streaks with NJ last year.  For short minutes, he
would add the outside bomber role to pg.  I presume he would be used
when only two of the trifecta are on the court, so he could get some
good looks.  If Pruitt develops quickly, House will not be an albatross.
On Manuel, I remember him playing some point during the Felton years at
UNC.  He has the defensive and BB abilities, though he isn't a big-time
scorer.  I guess Ainge doesn't want to wait until October to fill in the
cracks; maybe the front office needs time to get passports for our
Italian camp.  In numbers and positions, we have a fullish squad now,
but it would be nice to add a real player.

The Gomes rumor seems weird, since most of us think he's a valuable
player.  Still, we need what he could bring--smart play and spot up
