One more post and then I'm going home

Just saw this on the Herald site:

"PJ Brown, the 37-year-old power forward who is
reportedly seeking the full mid-level exception ($5.6
million) for his services, has probably priced himself
out of the Celtics’ range."

Grr.  

On the other hand, I just checked and Mutombo averaged
more boards and slightly more blocks than Brown last
year (and more boards in fewer minutes than Brian
Skinner), so I guess I could live with that.

One last note that might interest some of you: both
CelticsBlog and the Ft. Worth Star Telegram blog are
reporting the Wolves might cut Gomes. Who knows if
they're both using the same source(s). If there were a
wink-wink in place to bring back Gomes, that would be
nice, although they'd need to free up a roster space
to sign a center. And since the numbers worked for
Boston to acquire Garnett without giving up Gomes, I'm
not sure why he was in the deal if Minny didn't want
him. Interesting to see what happens there.
