i'm not at all ready to give up on ainge, who even
despite this horrible season has done one thing he
said he'd do--acquire talent. yes, he's made mistakes.
but what i like so far is that he's letting the team
mature together. we torched pitino for his churn and
now give ainge grief for not making deals. the salary
cap makes dealing talent for talent harder than ever.
with a 1/2 pick and/or a good pickup, we've got
ourselves a playoff team. 

watching the playoffs, i can't help but think that we
should be targeting some foreign players. arroyo,
delfino, ginobili, oberto and others are all loving
very poised and solid bball players. we could use that
type of experience. 

as for smart pickups, i'm looking for us to get
players on the level of an antonio daniels in the
backcourt, defenders like pietrus at the forward spot
and a big, solid defender in the front court who can
score 10 points a game, a la varejevo.

I think that is a bit harsh and perhaps childish if
you are referring 
to
me by saying:

I fully admitted to misunderstanding what you were
saying.

Anyway, we are terrible and if danny does not get #1
or #2 (and
potentially even if he does) we will miss the playoffs
again and then 
we
can debate the "what ifs" at this time next year. 
Hey, what if Larry
Bird made a comeback?  that would have given us 4 more
wins right?
