And what would Doc's role be? Media specialist? That seems to be his
only above-average coaching skill.

Talk about gambling odds - even I am capable of winning a couple
blackjack hands out of every dozen played at Glitter Gulch.
The difference is that I don't expect to win while Danny has all
along, while facing Las Vegas odds, arrogantly assumed he could
quickly build a championship team from a dozen low 1st-round/
2nd-round crafty picks.
< With Doc here, I don't see the Celtics playing serious defense,
without which we will not make the playoffs next year.>

Has anyone thought of simply adding an asst. coach who is a
DEFENSIVE SPECIALIST? Obie was smart enough to hire Dick
Harter, and head coaches in football all rely on their offensive
and defensive coordinators. Why not in basketball?
We hired BIG MAN specialist, Clifford Ray. And that was a good thing.
So why not hire one solid defensive specialist and one solid offensive
specialist to replace the likes of general assistants Armond Hill,
Tony Brown, Davey Wohl, and Kev Eastman? And why not at
the same time replace conditioning coaches Bryan Doodoo/Walter
Norton, trainer Ed Lacerte, (Doug's 23 games lost per top 12
player), and team Doc Brian McKeon?
It appears the current hands that kindle cannot quench the flames.
