Maybe it's been forgotten since he finished the 
season so strong, but even before he got injured 
again, Al started the season poorly to mediocre 
with the whispers starting up again about his 
being a bust. Until he makes an allstar game he's 
not an allstar or even half of one, so let's just 
call it the dominating play was very much a 
second half of the season phenomenon. So any 
attempt to argue that his star level play wasn't 
good enough by extrapolating from full season 
stats is skewed. Not excusing him for not playing 
better at the beginning of the season, just 
saying the argument doesn't really work.
