I hope you're right.
The thing is, there are some reasons to be optimistic -- Al of course.
And Rondo. Pierce has value either here or in trade. Delonte and Perk
look like good rotation players. Gerald Green will have value around the
league. And, of course, the draft pick.
I just have no faith in them getting any of it right this summer. Ainge
reached the critical point last offseason and came away with Telfair and
hasn't done much right since. I just feel like everyone -- owners and
Ainge especially -- are too close to it now. They're not seeing things
(Doc, the value of the players, the timing of trading Pierce) clearly.
As much as anything Danny has done, this is the reason I think it's time
for a change.
This offseason is too critical to screw it up.
