Head + brick wall = BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG

You're probably right. That's the smart thing for them to do. Actually,
the smart thing would have been to make the deal for Gasol. It's going
to be tougher in the offseason.

Ideally, they'd get a post scorer. But they also need a go-to guy. They
have a lot of good players, but lack that go-to guy -- unless you're a
big Ben Gordon fan. I could see them moving for someone like Pierce or
Ray Allen if they can't get their hands on Garnett or Gasol.

It's unlikely, but it's not as absurd as you make it out to be.

Sorry Mark, but you are wrong on this.
The Bulls are my second favorite team. When I'm not watching the
Celtics
I'm watching the Bulls. I follow the team like any fan of any team,
reading
the papers, listening to post game reports, reading the message boards,
etc.
No one, no one has been talking about the lack of a go to guy since
about
this time last year.
The entire focus is on the lack of inside scoring.
They have an abundance of very good wing players who can both make shots
and
make plays.
They've got the second seed just about locked up despite the fact that
one
of those wings, Nocioni, missed 29 games. They are touting another,
Deng, as
an all-star. They are championing Hinrich for the all defensive team.

That's not even talking about Gordon who has gone from being sixth man
of the year
to being an extremely efficient 22 ppg scorer in their starting lineup.
Now
they have another rookie 6-7 wing off the bench who has been doing some
very
nice things in limited minutes, Sefolosha.

The Bulls feel like they are one major piece of the puzzle away from
serious
contention for the championship and they aren't going to waste the
bargaining chips they have on another wing, no matter how good, when
it's an inside
guy that they feel well take them to the promise land. If they don't
get it
this off season, they will be more than willing to wait it out. They
aren't
going to make a panic move. All of their important pieces are very
young.
They have time on their side.
