Ideally, they'd get a post scorer. But they also need a go-to guy. They
have a lot of good players, but lack that go-to guy -- unless you're a
big Ben Gordon fan. I could see them moving for someone like Pierce or
Ray Allen if they can't get their hands on Garnett or Gasol.

It's unlikely, but it's not as absurd as you make it out to be.

This is common knowledge to everyone around the league, other than it
seems  
Celtic fans.
 Why people keep trying to trade Pierce to the Bulls is just beyond  me.
 
  The Bulls are not doing a trade with the Celtics unless the Celtics
are 
dealing Jefferson.  That's about as plain and simple as I can make  it.
