One thing I would add to the discussion of the Bulls trading for a final
piece should their playoff run not be stellar:
I think it's far more likely that Boston finally pulls the trigger and
trades Pierce than that Minnesota trade Garnett. In the end, Garnett is
the face of the franchise, both now and historically. Pierce, while our
best-known player right now, is not the historic face of the Celtics, and
thus, I see him as more likely to be traded.
Oh, one question - talk about gambling on slim odds - right before the
lottery, as in minutes before, you offer Pierce to Chicago for the Knicks'
pick, in the hopes of walking out with Oden and Durant, or at the very
least, one of them, and one of the Floridians. Now THAT'S a dumb gamble.
