Doc getting an extension

You just knew:

- that the owners wouldn't swallow the remaining $5 mill on 
Doc's contract no way, no how. 

- that Danny would never give up his favorite hobby of scouting 
to actually coach his own square pegs.   

- that available coaches/ex-coaches with a modicum of talent 
and common sense would not be standing in line to actually 
coach here. 

- that the Celtics' BT needed the Tony Snow of coaches,   good old
Doc's happy face/positive spin, to front the organization.

I was hoping Doc would be the one to sever the connection.   But
it wasn't to be.
