Kevinn "Don't call me Ed" Pinckney almost led the Bakersfield Jam...errr...I
mean the Boston Celtics past the Milwaukee Flush, errr Bucks in Wisconsin
last night.
Actually, the most laugh out loud funny part of the call-up notice is that
GATORADE SPONSORS FREAKIN CALL-UPS FROM THE NBDL!!!! That's kind've like JP
Morgan sponsoring my dropping off the 1040A in the mail April 15th.
I'm also wondering when we'll see the first green colored glasses "we need
to sign Kevinn to the 15 man roster because this guy is a player" comment.
The kid was playing against some third rate Bond villian named Iliyasova -
even Ryan Nelson would've been named to the All-Star team (over Caron Butler
and Rip Hamilton, PF) if he played against such competition night in and
night out.
And let me get on the record - if ANYONE (and I mean this) spreads the
"Perkalicious" nickname around that I heard on the radio broadcast I will in
fact track them down and make them listen to ABBA and Grease CDs for 97
straight hours.
3 games up with 8 to play including one more head to head (which will
probably include highlights of the recently called up Chris Herren for the
Celtics and Lew Alcindor for the Bucks).
I'm having way too much fun.
