Money talks and...well, you know the rest

If you were running the Celtics and you had access to the largest
collection of Hall of Famers and legends of any team, you would be
foolish to try to parlay that into recruiting free agents!
The best way to use that competitive advantage is to draft young,
coachable, teachable kids with sky-high potential and excellent work
ethic.
So far that seems to be exactly what we're doing, the epitome of which
may have been taking Rajon Rondo over Marcus Williams (if, like me,
you were under what turned out to be the false impression that Marcus
would be a better point guard).
Wait, I take that back. The epitome is PERK! Perk is the epitome of
everything that is good.
If you're not just the GM but also the in charge of non-basketball
operations, you should also do what you can to get as many legends to
participate in various events, and not just with season ticket
holders. Of course, charge for admission and pay the legends for their
time.
If we don't capitalize on our competitive advantages, they will soon be gone.
