Optimism Part 2

I had to go work out for the following to pop into my head:

 

We have the following dichotomy of players:

 

Good basketball IQ guys (Delonte, Gomes, & Wally) with limited
athleticism/height/speed/etc.

 

Great athletes (Green, Allen) with limited basketball IQ.

 

A coach that applies each in direct opposition to what other coaches do to
exploit such dichotomy.  Add to that we draft just low enough to usually
miss the guys that are both high IQ and athletic (again my biggest reason
why I hated the draft - we could've had one of those guys!!!)

 

I guess if I had to name something - that's why I'm not that optimistic this
year - we have very narrow "breadth" players (good at a lot of stuff) and
those that are give up too much athletically and we have a coach who is,
basically, inept in establishing well defined roles meaning our weaknesses
are exploited that much more often.
