Al's first-year stats (6.7/4.4 in 15) are the "equivalent" of 13.8/9.1 in 31,
which is basically identical to Amare.  Now, I say "equivalent" because Al would
have fouled out long before 31 minutes, and, if he hadn't, he would have
fainted from being out of condition.

But, minute for minute, Al matched Amare's productivity (in terms of rebounds
and points) in their first years.  So a comparison isn't totally crazy.

Then came their second years, when Amare got better, and Al didn't.  No one
(in the Celtics fan base) is happy about that, whether you call it a slump or
something else.  We'll find out soon if Al can better, too.
