hmmm.... when I ready teh comments about Boozer this morning I just
assumed that any deal would include both Wally (as an upgrade over
Giricek and Harpring) AND Jefferson.
A deal that works moneywise would be:
Boozer + Giricek ---> Szczerbiak, Jefferson, Scalabrine (Tony Allen
could be thrown into the mix if necessary too w/o messing up the $$$,
but i'd want a pick back if we were giving up Allen AND Jefferson).
This would balance our roster out a bit too:
Telfair / Rondo / Ray
West / Allen / Giricek
Pierce / Green / Jackson
Boozer / Gomes / Akinbala or Powe
Perkins / Ratliff / Olowokandi
It woudl open the door for West to pick up the majority of Wally's
production -- which i think he could do very well, while providing
better defense and rebounding at the 2 despite being shorter. Mins
are freed up too for Allen and Green.
i think i'd do that deal -- i like what Wally brings to this team but
have thought since he got here that he's a way to package some
younger guys (who have relatively low salaires) for a high-priced vet
(like Boozer, Iverson, Baron Davis, etc)
(the othr) mark
