First off, oh ye of little faith. Secondly, I think reaks is reeks.
Now on to the MEAT.
What you read in Shira's article was, as usual, the Celtics'
version of what transpired. What are the odds that her
league source was Ainge? Unfortunately, more will be
coming out. But for now, here's an article from this
morning's NY Post online edition which may explain
some of my statements.
UNFABULOUS NIGHT FOR FABOLOUS
RAPPER BUSTED AFTER GETTING SHOT
By JAMIE SCHRAM, LARRY CELONA and LUKAS I. ALPERT
October 18, 2006 -- Rapper Fabolous was shot in the leg in a Manhattan
parking garage early yesterday after he and his crew left a swank eatery
owned by hip-hop guru Sean "Diddy" Combs, cops said.
The golden-tongued rhymer was then arrested along with three pals
when cops stopped his white Dodge Magnum after it ran a red light
racing to the hospital, and allegedly discovered two unlicensed
guns - a 9mm and a .40-caliber pistol - in a hidden compartment
in the dashboard.
One of the guns had its serial number filed off, cops said.
Fabolous, 28, was leaving Justin's Bar and Restaurant in Chelsea at
around 12:35 a.m. when a gunman accosted him and his friends as
they headed to a recording studio and unloaded as many as nine shots.
Fabolous was hit once in the right thigh, police said.
The handcuffed rapper, wearing a gray sweatsuit from Diddy's "Sean John"
clothing line, limped out of the 13th Precinct station house early this morning,
aided by two police officers who led him into a patrol car.
Fabolous answered "No!" when asked by reportersif he saw who shot him. Two of
the men arrested with him, Rascharm Davis, 29, and Percell German, 23, also
insisted they didn't see the shooter. The other man arrested, Kevin Bass, 18,
had no comment.
The four were charged with weapons possession and possessing a defaced gun.
Boston Celtic basketball star Sebastian Telfair - in town to play the Knicks
- was among the patrons at Justin's on Monday night.
Telfair left the club prior to the shooting and went to retrieve his car from
the same parking garage, but returned a short time later complaining that he
had been robbed of a $50,000 gold chain, a witness said.
When asked by restaurant security if he wanted to call police, Telfair said
"No."
The witness said Telfair then made a quick call on his cellphone in which he
was heard to tell someone, "Get over here and take care of it."

Telfair - a phenom at Brooklyn's Lincoln HS and a cousin of Knick Stephon
Marbury - left last night's game during the second half to go to the station
house and view police lineups.
Cops said no charges had been filed in relation to the theft of Telfair's
chain.
"Nobody suspects him of anything," Telfair's lawyer, Ed Hayes, said outside
the station house. "He's being cooperative. He's a witness."
Police have not determined a motive for the shooting of Fabolous, but were
looking at the near-fatal shooting of his brother, Paul Cain, 26, two months ago
in Brooklyn to see if that crime could be related.
Following yesterday's shooting, the hip-hop star was taken to Bellevue
Hospital and later released into police custody.
At the station house, Fabolous declined to answer questions, the sources
said.
His lawyer, Alberto Ebanks, insisted that his client was the victim and that
neither of the guns in the car belonged to him.
"I wish they would turn this thing around and treat him like he's the victim
of a crime. My client was shot and the perpetrator is still out there," he
said.
But Police Commissioner Ray Kelly yesterday blasted the lack of Cooperation
by Fabolous and his entourage.
"There seems to be some kind of culture of not coming forward with
information even if you're the victim of a crime," he said.
"We certainly hope that's not the case here. But so far, that's what's
happening."
The rapper's hits have included, "Breathe" and "Can't Deny It."
Fabolous, born John Jackson, was arrested outside a nightclub in 2003 with an
illegal handgun.
Earlier that year, he was busted twice on the same day: first for driving
with a suspended license, and later on weapons possession when cops found two
loaded guns in his car after he ran a red light.
