>Does anyone know if comcast will show the regular season games in HD?
I can only speak for last year, when I had Comcast, in Newton, MA.
First, only home games, at the Garden, are shown in HD. Away games, and "home games" that are held someplace else are shown in SD.
Second, Comcast (in this neighborhood) last year did *not* have a Fox Sports HD channel. Instead, they had a "catch-all" HD channel on which they broadcast *both* HD Celtics and Red Sox games. This meant that, at the end of the Celtics season, when Red Sox games started up, and often conflicted with Celtics games, they dropped the HD Celtics games. (You could still watch the games in SD, of course.)
There were also a few home games that Comcast didn't broadcast in HD, for some reason.
The games I did see in HD were gorgeous, but, all in all, I missed 10 HD games with Comcast last year. Given that there were only 42 possible games (the home games), that meant I missed almost a *quarter* of the games. When I complained, Comcast showed no interest.
So, this year I've switched to RCN, which has a separate channel for HD Fox Sports, so the Red Sox conflict shouldn't happen. There hasn't been a Celtics HD game yet, so I can't say how it works, but I'm hoping . . .
