third quarter

It was obvious that the Cavs wanted to try new combinations as the
game progressed, and the ones in this quarter weren't quite so
hot. The Celtics opened up an eleven point lead of their own!

Michael Olowokandi can rebound. Really, stop laughing! If--and this
is a MAJOR "if" he can do this with any kind of consistency, he may
have earned a job at least for the time being. Not only that, but
he's hitting his free throws!

As the quarter closed, the Good Guys were getting the benefit of most
of the calls.

Tommy Heinsohn must be crying tears of joy as the Cavs keep getting
called for three seconds.

It's obvious that the Cavaliers have their starting five ready to
rock and roll. but their bench is nowhere near that cohesive. If
they DO get that done, they're going to be VERY tough to beat. For
now, if you can weather the storm of the starting five, it's a fair
fight the rest of the way.

Rajon Rondo seems willing to give up the body as he goes into the crowd.

The Good Guys closed out the third with an 84-70 lead.

Oh, and in response to a question concerning the first quarter, I
meant that the C's offense in the opening quarter suffered badly from
not having Delonte West in the game, but the next two quarters have
gone VERY well for the Good Guys.

Odd as it may sound--especially after last season--the Celtics are
actually doing better forcing the halfcourt game from the Cavs. Last
year, Ilgauskas was destroying the C's under the hoop.

Onward to the final quarter!!
