In your scenario you have Grant as actually being in a Celtic uniform, my understanding is there is no intention of Grant actually playing for the C's that he was included for salery/trade numbers only and is being kept for the same purposes for a possible down the line trade.

I agree that Pitts and possibly Ray if he makes the team get designated for the D league.

Unless there is a trade, I think Kandi gets played a decent amount early in camp games to show him off to other teams, that is unless Jones has not shown any improvment from last year.

The last couple to 3 roster spots seems to be shaking out to be a battle between Pitts, Jones, Powe, Ray and Kandi? Should at least be a spirited camp for the first couple of weeks.

My candidate for at least one of the cuts is Ray - a smallish spot up outside gunner at a very crowded position for the C's.

Grant will be off the C's books before the trading deadline.

Go C's

team's glut of 18 players.

THE CORE ROTATION:
Telfair, West, Pierce, Szerbiak, Allen, Gomes,
Jefferson, Perkins, Ratliff

GIVE EM 10 MPG FOR DEVELOPMENT PURPOSES:
Green, Rondo, D. Jones

PLAY EM AT THE END OF BLOWOUTS:
Pittsnogle, Powe, Ray. (Better yet, ship these guys to
the D-League)

DUCK AND COVER IF YOU SEE 'EM ON THE FLOOR:
Scabs, Grant, Kandi

Assuming Pitsnoogle and Ray actually do get shipped to
the D-League, the Cs will still need to make one more
cut. Much as I'd like to nominate Scalabrine, I think
the more likely candidate is Olowokandi. Assuming
Grant is only moderately healthy, he can play the same
role of "veteran big man at the end of the bench," and
keeping him around lets the Cs retain his expiring
contract as a trading chip. If they trade Grant away
during the season, bring Pittsnuffle back from
purgatory; I still think it's possible he could
develop into a very poor man's Brad Miller.
