	We're looking for a third string center, who can fill in, in a pinch  
and protect us against injuries.
	If it's between he and Jones, I'd take the risk and if it doesn't  
work, you can get a "Jones" later.
	His cost: $650,000 is exactly the same as would be for Jones. The  
league pays the difference between a rookie's minimum and a veteran's  
minimum.
	What's to lose? It's a poor risk perhaps, but not a bad gamble,  
considering the stakes.
