Fair enough. Although FWIW, I said he actually *is* that height. No
reference to how he plays - i.e. bigger or smaller than he is. I
think he plays his height. And what might have fooled you BTW might
be that he isn't exactly a big bulky bull, which is what most tend to
associate with quality shot blocking and rebounding.
I guess I just don't see why you have such optimism about Kandi. I
think the reasons he he was around so long is that a) he's big and
that's like being left handed in baseball - that alone cuts you more
slack, b) he isn't a cancerous attitude problem, so he's safe to fill
out a bench with, while c) there's enough athleticism there to be
optimistic if you insist on being so despite all experience with him.
But if our situation was going to matter so much to him then why
didn't he at least put out effort all the time he was on the floor
last season at the end of his contract. Because he certainly did a
lot of the same old loafing interspersed with the same sort of
occasional effort that got him drafted, from what I saw. Which is
also exactly what his reputation was, making it even less likely to
change. I just don't see any reason for optimism with him. If we end
up signing him, I just really hope you're the one who's right and I'm wrong.
