Bravo Al. Really, no cynicism whatsoever. I've been waiting three years to
hear that you've finally agreed to wear an active ankle or similar support.
If this promise bears fruit I'm confident enough in such products that I'll
pretty much guarantee if you do wear such devices you won't have the ankle
injuries this year. And no I don't sell them, or have stock in the company,
but my women's volleyball team must wear them and I haven't had an ankle
injury on my teams in three years despite that being the leading volleyball
injury (along with knees and shoulders).
Maybe Al finally has turned a corner and has accepted some personal
responsibility to this team. If he has, then my pessimism will be both
unfounded, and assuredly thrown back in my face (and if the Cs are winning,
that's fine with me).

"The raw high school kid who was mystified two years ago by the need to tape
his ankles - and as a result was forced to have ankle surgery over this past
summer - now swears that he will not only have his ankles taped religiously,
but he will also dutifully wear a special brace on the surgically repaired
joint." - Herald article 3 Oct 06
