It's true, Egg, you've been right on the money just about every time. I
remember a time when some on this list questioned the veracity of your claim
to know someone who knows. For a while, I had my doubts. Time after time,
though, articles in the Globe and Herald supported what you had previously
posted to this list about most of those guys. I believe that you're right
about Gerald and Tony too. They don't seem to get it the way that Gomes or
West get it. That being said, I think just about every team out there has
several players with issues. Issues about attitude, character, lack of NBA
talent, etc. The Celtics are not unique. By the time a team has figured
out that they have a problem player, the likelihood is that word has gotten
out to the other teams, reducing trade value. I guess that's where we are
with Gerald and Tony. They may not be untradeable, but they probably will
not get you a player that you want. Where does that leave us? In
slimchanceville. There is a slim chance that they may one day "get it," or
that we can trade them and make out like a bandit. I haven't given up hope.
