I've considered gun ownership because I (with a few friends) enjoyed going
to a local range in college, and target shooting.  To me, it wasn't much
different than billiards, albeit with significant safety requirements. 
But honestly, it really was a target sport for us.  This is one of several
legitimate reasons one might desire to own a legal, licensed firearm.  But
we're talking about young guys, here.  Does anyone believe that in many of
these cases, it has NOTHING to do with the image?
