How about Larry Brown? You wouldn't have to worry about firing him because he'd quit by Year 3.

My candidates would be septuagenarians like Hubie Brown and Tommy Heinsohn. This team needs a teacher like Hubie, given what he did with Memphis, and I want Tommy off the air (and Cooz on the air). Besides, Tommy was, and still would be, a better coach than Doc. (Then again, who, with the exception of Isiah, isn't?).
Of course, these two candidates are, alas, unrealistic. So, if you're Ainge, and truly don't want to coach the team you built (as he claims), who's the best realistic candidate?
