Just saw the first quarter, but.....

-- That opening lineup just felt like a cheap gimmick. I think more
than anything they were all pressing w/ the emotion of Red's
ceremony... wanting to do more than they could (lots of missed shots
that looked like they were taken not to miss).
But c'mon...that lineup was like a cheap imitation of Don Nelson.
Gotta respect Nellie's results but sometimes you'd think he was
cooking up lineups jsut to (a) be contrarian or (b) see what he could
get away with. I don't get everyone "going small" all of a sudden.
Does taht really give us the best chance to win? Yeah we have talent
a tthe wing positions but....
-- Jefferson looked good in the 1st quarter -- ready to mix it up.
But it looks like he had a harder time through the rest of the game.
-- Telfair looked a bit out of control when i was watching. hope
that's a too small sample.
-- Read in one of the tributes to Red that he came into the League w/
7 plays and some tweaks and left with 7 plays and some tweaks.
Taht's what I'd like to see again. Devastatingly executed simplicity.
I'm willing to chalk this one up to jitters, but this early schedule
is getting tougher.
