Well, gosh

That was a classic of its kind. Each Celtic failing horribly,
most in their own worst nightmare way: Wally misses
shots (and free throws!); Delonte and Rondo have the
opposing point guard steal it from them; Telfair gets one
assist in 28 minutes; Al fouls out in 22 minutes; Ryan
Gomes looks lost; and Tony Allen... oh God, oh God,
oh God, I'd prefer Scalabrine.
And let's not forget Doc who, after establishing no
rotations or roles during the eight preseason games,
decides to push it even further, and goes with a starting
lineup he's never used before.
I include Paul Pierce in this: he had a great rebounding
night, but the offense once again sunk to Paul-on-
everyone, just like every other year. Why even bother
to trade for players if none of them is going to do
anything in crunch time except try to pass the ball to
Pierce?
Paul has a wonderful heart but it's wasted unless his
team plays like a team. He has a little to do with
that, but I believe he's matured. I think the fault now
lies squarely with Doc Rivers, who actively does things
that destroy cohesion and chemistry. Even Tommy was
calling Doc on this tonight.
For now, it looks like the same sad story: lots of close
games, lots of losses.
