the problem with rookie points

About Marcus Williams (Uconn): Personally I think the post a while back
saying he's like a poor mans Deron Williams(Jazz), was right.

Like Deron, he's a heady ballhandler/passer, can shoot the longball, is
big compared to Chris Paul, and recently dropped some weight. Doesn't
really play as physical as Deron, or bust his butt on D though. I think
he'll be o.k. in the NBA.

I think Rajon Rondo would be better than Marcus Williams, in making the
C's more of a winner even as a rookie PG, because he'd grow the teams
defensive/tough culture. He really is an even better defender at PG
than Banks, Orien, or Tony. He can drive-n-dish at will in the
halfcourt and has the non-turnover-ballhandling and leadership-swagger
that Orien lacks. (Orien's excellent pass timing and vision seem to
only come out in exhibition playground fastbreak games).

I don't watch college hoops that much so I just don't know, but back
to the points, what does everyone other than Mark Berry think about
Williams? I respect Mark's opinion, just hoping to hear from others
who've seen more of him than I have. I've a friend who has a clue who
sees him as not Chris Paul level but in that mode.
