Yup, fair enough I'll buy that too. I'm not happy about it, but 
Orien's upside is probably no better than a solid back-up at point 
and Dickau's 3 year contract more or less guarantees it, all other 
things being equal, which they're not.

Yup, agree here too. He was the only one of the big men that Doc's 
habit of setting them up in the high post or on the circle made sense 
for, since he actually can see the floor and pass, has that reliable 
mid range jumper, and certainly wasn't going to accomplish much in 
terms of offense or rebounds if you set him up near the hoop instead. 
Of course there is that hands of stone issue...

I didn't think he'd make a good one, but I certainly saw him as a 
viable 2nd backup option. Of course the ML Carr approach to offense 
(make an apparent wide public search for best possible options then 
end up selecting yourself) aside, Ricky's biggest problem with 
passing was that he never understood that he wasn't always passing to 
someone with hands as good as he had and that the best pass is one 
that the target can catch. A mistake that say Couz, for all the flash 
and dash and showiness in his passes, never made.
