Thanks Roy. Good stuff.

This guy and Patrick O'Bryant, the big kid from Bradley, are two guys
I'm very interested in as we approach the draft. I'm not interested in
Randy Foye or Marcus Williams. This team needs size. We may not get to
pick this high again for years, so let's get a talented big guy.

Mark

Wasn't there another guys the lost was talking about as a potential
lottery pick from Europe? A Senegalese player? Is he still in the
mix and worthy?

-------------------------

Yes I think that Mouhamed Saer Sene is still in the draft, and even
though he's rated lower in internet draft boards, I'd be fine w/ the C's
taking him at 6 as a swing for a future homerun (like Al/Perk).

Physically, the guy is a 7' high flyer plus a reported 7'8 wingspan. To
put that in perspective, Perk is at 7'4, and the longest current
wingspan players I've heard of (Dalembert/Magloire)are at 7'6. Plus
he's not a total stick figure like some HS age players. He already has
some muscle/bulk through the arms/shoulders.

Gamewise, at the Nike Hoop summit, he showed some nastiness/hustle as a
one dimensional shotblocker, was just as shockingly dominant as Greg
Oden, Joakim Noah, Tyrus Thomas, in their recent games. Those 3 are
rated as "first picks in their draft". That's why Saer Sene could be a
possible homerun/gamechanger for the C's after 2 years (just when
Al/Gerald will be forces on offense). He'll be at least as good as
Dalembert/Pryzbilla, except with Stromile Swift hops.

Some weaknesses are he doesn't have the strength or perfect shotblock
timing/angles of Greg Oden. And he's only played organized ball for a
few years. But was skilled enough on O to make an open freethrow range
J, some dunks, and a reverse layup against the best HS kids in the US.
