< I'll buy that....he could be an impact player as a
rebounder / defender in a subordinate role. Al
could be much more. Jermaine is such a weak
character, though. I still feel that, at the end of
the day, he gives you 20 points, ten rebounds,
a block or two, and nothing else. > - Josh

Of course you wouldn't trade BIG AL for arguably the best inside
player in the Eastern Conference. Because aside from being a
shot-blocking 20-10 guy, poor Jermaine has "nothing else,"
certainly none of the "extras" that BIG AL has such as:

- Reading too many press clippings at the end of his rookie season
- Appearing lazy and disinterested in the 2005 Summer League
- Reporting to camp out of shape
- Sloughing off in practices
- Failing to learn offensive sets and defensive rotations
- Balking at playing with minor pain or tightly taped ankles
- Continuing to be a foul machine
- Going into a funk over the superior play of Perk and Gomes
- Driving his coaches crazy.
- Causing Danny to question his future role with this team

< Even if he had good numbers (i.e. 24 points, 12 rebounds)
for the series, Indiana's loss would require some explanation. >

Could it possibly be that O'Neal was surrounded by mediocre
players, especially with Stojakovic out with an injury?

<These pallid stats are in fact proof that the guy is
a pussy, and hardly worth the price of his salary,
let alone Al. > - Josh

They are in fact proof that one man's pallid stats are another
man's All-Star stats.
