Poor Atlanta - Diaw wins Most Improved Player Award

Oh no, I must be mellowing. Ainge doesn't seem so bad to me now
when I consider that Atlanta could have drafted Chris Paul and kept
Diaw instead of drafting ath-a-lete Marvin Williams and trading
away their future for Joe Johnson. Poor Steve Belkin ... he was right
all along.

Of course Isiah still stands alone as the "Worstest Baddest Dumbest
GM in the History of the World." I'm just waiting for someone on
the staff at Lenox Hill Hospital to finally leak the classified info
that Knick's owner James Dolan of Cablevision billions, actually
did have a partial lobotomy on December 21, 2003. Is there any
other explanation?

And how about David West (17.1 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 51.2 fg%, 84.3 ft%)
being the runner-up for the most improved player award?
Think it not a trifle, though it appear small, that several months
ago I was vigorously debated (i.e. creamed) when suggesting
that Ainge would most certainly trade the disappointing Jefferson
for West and two Hornet's 1st round picks.

Diaw most improved

By Associated Press | May 2, 2006

Boris Diaw went from being a throw-in as part of the Joe Johnson trade to
winner of the NBA's most improved player award.

The Phoenix Suns' versatile Frenchman was a landslide choice with 80
first-place votes in balloting by 124 sports writers and sportscasters.
He received 489 overall points, compared with 22 first-place votes and
283 points for runner-up David West of New Orleans.
