I am not overly happy either for Toine nor Payton, let alone Riley or Mourning. I don't like the Miami team-building model - not that the Mavs are a home-grown dynasty, but still. I wanted the Mavs to win it because of the style of pla and good guys Adrian Griffin, Nowitzki, Avery Johnson, and the Nelson clan. And I think owners like Cuban are good for the league. However, the fact that Wade and Shaq are wholesome characters, in addition to the Kobe situation, softens the blow somewhat.
