Delonte stuff

I heard Delonte interviewed on WEEI today. He's in DC doing some
basketball camp. Said he's working on his right hand and right-hand
floaters. Said he names threes where the guy lays off and gives him the
shot "cookies" because it's like they're offering you cookies, and he's
like "OK, sure, I love cookies." Said he names the shot when he gets to
post up a smaller guy "cereal" because it's sweet and it's like he's
getting some cinnamon toast crunch.
I'm not even remotely capturing how enjoyable this conversation was.
I love Delonte.
Mark
P.S. I'm hearing the Celts aren't trading Pierce, love how hard Al is
working and would like to trade for some veteran help to make a move
now.

Just noticed when poking around Basketball-reference.com for something
else ...
Season most similar to Delonte West's season last year was Danny Ainge's
in 1985. Amazingly, four of the five most comparable seasons belong to
Ainge, broken up only by Hersey Hawkins at No. 4 (with Jeff Hornacek No.
6).
The most similar season at age 22 was Norm Nixon in his rookie year,
followed by Chauncey Billups in his first year in Denver. Then Latrell
Sprewell, Kenny Smith and Vinny Del Negro (ouch).
Doesn't necessarily mean anything, just interesting.
