I saw an interview w/ Paul on Fox Sports some weeks ago, and after being
asked about a possible extension he was laughing saying something like
"You never know if you'll get traded or want to sign w/ a new team until
it happens".

He said the fans in Boston are great.  But he definitely didn't have
Antoine's die-hard attitude of "this is where I want to finish my
career".

I think he sees the talented swingmen the C's keep picking up and
doesn't really trust mgmt.  Probably remembers Danny's trading sprees
with all his close friends (Battie, Toine etc).

If there is any truth to the rumor, perhaps the Celtics are realizing
Pierce
is going to be too expensive, perhaps it is just a negotiating ploy
regarding his extension or perhaps Pierce wants out.
