You're right about blaming Mchale. But, you could put the same blame on
all the 2003 GM's drafting from #8, till the end of the first round.
They passed on Josh Howard, sometimes for gunners like Ridnour, Jarvis
Hayes, Pavlovic.
That's why I hope Ainge isn't scared off from drafting two-way players
even if they're expected to go lower than #7. Shelden Williams, Roy,
Saer-Sene, Rondo, will end up making teams pay for bypassing them this
year.
I still personally think that Shelden is the can't-miss choice to help
Perk w/ enforcer duties. Reports are he's mature, workmanlike, and
humble. Krzyzewski says he's an NBA double/double plus shotblocking,
for 12 years. Apparently he outplayed Sene and Patrick O'bryant, then
had an impressive run with the Celts famous windsprint test. The Celt
owner (former Dukie) kept conversating with him during the workout.

If Wolves fans are looking for another reason to howl
for McHale's head, they only have to turn on the
Finals.
They passed
on Josh Howard, an All-American out of college
basketball's toughest conference, the ACC, who is now
the second-best player on the Western Conference
champion.
