This is a great simple way to have each NBA team have a AAA club AND build 
intra-divisional rivalries.

I sure hope JB's right that "it won't be long".... i just think a true minor 
league would be so beneficial to the NBA.

    Another is that there are so many baseball minors, so  the travel isn't 
bad.  And that's a bind for the NBA.  The D Celtics  won't play the D Lakers 
because the D team won't want top fly them  cross-country.
     The solution, it seems is to have D league in  divisions, paralleling 
the NBA:  the D Celtics (Providence) can play the D  Knicks (Trenton), the D 
76ers (Harrisburg) and the like.  No trips over 350  miles or so, so they can 
uses buses or even (shudder) fly  coach.
