celtics roundup

That's not exactly right. He came back after his injury and played a lot
of basketball for the Blazers. His best month was April. He put up some
pretty good numbers in April. And the team went 1-10. Certainly not his
fault, but worth mentioning.

I don't want to be painted as anti-Telfair. I'm not. I want him to be
great. I love great point guard play and spectacular passing. I'm just
trying to be realistic in my expectations.

Mark

P.S. Delonte West is going to go down in history as the must
underappreciated Celtic in history.

I may be way wrong here, since I'm at work and don't have time to look
it
up, but didn't Telfair miss a bunch of time with a serious injury? I
forget if it was last year of his rookie year, but either way, as a
YOUNG
player, the dude missed a big chunk of one of his first two seasons, and
Portland thought, once he returned, that going with another player, who
was a known quantity, was better than risking that Telfair had fully
recovered. Sure, it's risky to trade for him, but given that he had to
work through an injury, is it not worth some risk, based on his raw
artistry?
