Ahh. See I accepted and agreed with his saying that he wouldn't coach 
etc here because he wanted to leave his legacy of what he did as a 
player as it was, and any role after that would color people's 
perceptions. Especially because the Cs have been such a mess ever 
since and he was smart enough to know it was a no win situation. 
While his going to Indiana was pretty understandable, given his roots 
there and that it's not as if he did a Sharman and went to rescue the 
Lakers. Or even Philly or any other Cs traditional rival.  So that 
ancient history comment is also a reference to my having a clean 
break in associating him as a Celtic. Nothing to do with the team 
today reminds me of Bird and hasn't for a long time.

Still trying to get over the shock of his now being in the wine 
business though. When did Larry graduate from champagne to celebrate 
championships and Bud or Miller for anything else?
