i love iverson's heart, but i don't like the trade
unless we get a number 1 pick back. i know it takes
something to get something, but this trade makes us
very thin up front and weakens us defensively. plus i
think gerald green has a chance to be special.

the only way you win with iverson is to have tough,
defensive-minded people backing him up. we
have...uh...delonte and maybe perk (at least thru the
first quarter, by which time he'll pick up his 3rd
foul and be out until the second half).

i don't like it. if danny stops right now, i'm still
his biggest supporter. if he does this iverson trade,
i'm gonna start to wonder.

That seems to make some sense Thomas talentwise for
PHI -- but i have
to admit i'm extremely nervous about giving up Gerald
Green (and not
just b/c we won't have any Green/e's on the Green
anymore :)

He just seems like he could be a special player. All
in all though I
guess you have to roll the dice... I guess the 2
saving graces for me
would be:

- Ainge has shown an ability to find talent throughout
the draft
(Jefferson @ 15, Green @ 17, West/Allen in the 20s,
Gomes @ 50....)

- the NBA is a star's league. taking a chance that
Iverson can make
your avg team great is as good a risk as that Gerald
Green will
become the next Rashard Lewis (never mind the next
TMac...)

And i guess we shouldn't underestimate the potential
for Jefferson's
development playign w/ Iverson AND Pierce. Iverson
will make it a
lot harder for Jefferson to be double teamed. And can
find him when
he gets into the lane and a guy slides over to help on
AI.

I sure would like to expand the deal a bit and see if
we could get
John Salmons.... i think he'd provide some nice backup
SG/SF mins
along with Allen and Telfair.
