I want to put in a few good words about my man Steve Blake.  He's recently known as the man whom Telfair could not even beat out.  What a double dog diss that statement has become.  Steve Blake is a solid,  if unspectacular, journeyman point guard who would be a solid backup for any team.  I wish we had him.  He was, after all, the key figure in Maryland's national championship season.  He passes extremely well, he plays aggressive defense, he sees the floor as well as any, he shoots sparingly but well enough.  He's a solid practicioner of the point guard art.  That someone like that "beat out" (but didn't play more minutes than) Telfair is no disgrace.  I would expect, especially in the early going, for West to "beat out" Telfair, too.
